METAL WHEELS
Metal wheels have the highest load capacity, are the easiest rolling
and find good application on rough and chip littered floors that could
damage other types of wheel treads. They are also used where there are
high temperatures.
The three types of metal
wheels are:

BIRON: Powdered
iron compacted and sintered as strong as cast iron. Concentric,
smooth tread reduces noise and floor damage.

SEMI-STEEL: Cast
Iron toughened with steel scrap. Use on rough floors , concrete
and wood.

FORGED STEEL: Practically
indestructible wheel with very high fatigue and impact resistance.
For use on very abusive conditions. For continuous running on
steel tread plates use with tapered roller bearing.
